Vampire Facial

PRP (Platelet rich plasma) has been used successfully since many years to heal sports injuries. It is now becoming a popular treatment modality in aesthetic medicine to improve signs of chronic sun damage, ageing, fine lines and wrinkles, scars, and even dark circles.
It is gaining popularity very fast because of its "organic" nature and because it works.

What is vampire facial?

Also known as face PRP, PRP facial or PRP facelift, vampire facial involves preparing a PRP from your blood and then injecting it superficially in the facial skin.

How is vampire facial done?
  •   After cleansing the face, a numbing cream is applied to the patients face for 25-30 mins.
  •   A small amount of patient’s blood sample is taken. The withdrawn sample is transferred to PRP tube.
  •   This PRP Sample Tube is put in the centrifugation machine to form layers.
  •   The sample obtained after centrifugation contains all the growth factors derived from patients own blood is then injected in the skin using fine needles.
  •   As the needles are fine and numbing done, the patient does not feel pain or uncomfort.
HOW DOES IT WORK?

The growth factors in PRP stimulate the skin's stem cells to produce more collagen, grow new cells and literally rejuvenate the skin. The process of new collagen synthesis is slow and gradual taking few weeks to months, which is why the skin keeps improving as more time passes.

What are its Benefits?

The vampire facial causes skin rejuvenation. It helps in improving the skin texture. The skin feels softer, smoother, supple and more hydrated. The fine lines and wrinkles will improve. Blemishes and dark spots will reduce. It helps in evening out the skin tone with shrunken pores, making the skin look more radiant and flawless.

How frequently do I have to get vampire facial done?

The vampire facial may be repeated every 4-6 weeks. A total of 4-6 sessions are required to see the best results.

What are the side effects?

Vampire facial is performed from sample prepared from patient’s own blood and injecting it back into the same patient and hence the chances of side effects are practically nil.
